Adapted by facilitator to suit age group/educational topic, etc Jane Dards: - I have been writing poetry, on and off, since I was a child. Having been distracted by various occupations (a PhD in pussycats, careers in computing and as a technical author, not to mention raising two children) I am now concentrating on my poetry. My work includes a wide range of subjects and styles, including structured and free verse, serious and humourous, word pictures and witticisms. I have had poetry published in various print and online magazines, including Orbis, Iota, nthposition, Envoi, Seam, and even The Oldie magazine. and gearing Roberts: Player of Welsh, Galician and English Bagpipes; pibgorn; tarota; bodhran; whistles, and a touch of mandolin. I play a lot of Welsh stuff, and a fair bit from other traditions. Available for sessions weddings, birthdays, funerals, bat mitvahs... I've also written and published on Castles and current affairs, in Welsh and English.

19th June 2010 - World Sauntering Day!
Builth Wells Walk £5/£3, no dogs, all ages. Moderate / 3-4 hours
with Brad Birch: A 21 year old playwright and poet based in deepest, darkest Mid Wales. Have been writing for almost two years now. First commissioned by Theatr Powys to co-write the 2008 MPYT Autumn show - a modern, existentialist adaptation of The Snow Queen. I am concerned with the world in which we live, bothered by the zeitgeist and frustrated with the times... At the age where you're meant to take the world, this generation just simply can't afford it. I intend to write for and document the feelings and frustrations of the times.

and Nicola Drew: - I am an actor and contemporary dancer. I have been working as a performer professionally since leaving university and thoroughly enjoy creating exciting, thought provoking and fun work. I have recently become involved with Theatre in Education. I believe that this is such a powerful tool to enrich and capture the imaginations of young children on nearly any subject or matter. I have been working for a Theatre in Education company called Vxii which operates in the Yorkshire area. It is a very successful company and has been booked constantly throughout the past 10 years. We often work in primary schools, tackling such matters as recycling, drugs, bullying and the environment, but we can also adapt for secondary schools. I have recently moved back to the Brecon area and am about to expand the company. and Blue MacAskill:- who graduated from Ruskin School of Fine Art and Drawing and continued her studies with an MA in Film and Sculpture from Wimbledon School of Art. She has recently finished a residency at The National Library of Wales where she was nominated for a Lottery Exhibition and Education Award. In 2006 Blue was the Artist for the Swansea Eisteddfod based at The National Waterfront Museum. Blue works in the medium of film, photography and print. She lives and works in Newbridge on Wye, Powys; improving access to high quality contemporary visual art in Powys is a priority for her continued community work in the county.
